Description: This is a baseboard for the XTool F1 Ultra that is laser cut from 3mm Basswood. The baseboard protects the F1's baseplate in normal use. It can also be engraved to incorporate a grid or material outlines for alignment of products you frequently engrave. Though the camera can be used for product placement in some instances, for precision work, doing so requires that the camera image overlay is accurate. The camera overlay isn't accurate without a proper thickness / measurement, and some laser's vary in measurements enough to make use of the camera reliably. For accurate and repeatable placement, many F1 Ultra owners have made and use jigs - typically one jig for each product type. This provided grid is an alternative to using jigs for alignment, and can be modified to match your needs with placeholders for multiple product types on a single baseboard. You can also engrave outlines on the baseboard that can be used for product alignment. The baseboard is cut to closely match the baseplate of the F1 Ultra. The front edge has a radius that matches the contour of the F1 Ultra's baseplate, and holes in the baseboard align with the holes in the Ultra's baseplate. As there are slight variances in some machines, the baseboard's contour is inset slightly from the edge of the Ultra's baseplate to ensure that the baseboard doesn't interfere when closing the cover. Included with the alignment panel are two fasteners to secure the panel to the Ultra's baseplate. The style of the fasteners is subject to vary based on availability. Once the baseboard is installed on the laser's baseplate, you can engrave the provided grid design, or modify the design to suit your needs.
