Description: This VINTAGE Dorothy Thorpe/ Lusterware? Atomic Age MCM Punch Bowl Set is a Wonderful mid-century collectible. The set includes a punch bowl, 12 roly-poly cups, and a holder, all made from a beautiful combination of wood, chrome, and glass. The design has that classic "Mad Men" late 50's early 60's vibe, perfect for any retro or vintage themed event. The set was manufactured in the 1960s in the United States and has not been modified. This is a must-have for any collector or lover of mid-century design. Mom had this packed away in the garage and I don't remember seeing it used at one of her parties after the 70's. It is in Good Vintage condition and that means there is some things to look at: It is missing it's ladle, the bowl has one bubble in the glass bowl and some wear on the silver rim, the chrome on the holder has rust spots. (See pics). The holder will need some work to bring back to glory, it sounds bad I know but it just needs some elbow grease, so let your kid polish the stainless steel on the holder while he's doing the bumpers on his "classic" car and save yourself! The glass cups look great. This wonderful Punch Bowl Set to look at and admire for it's design - would look great on your next 1960's movie set or in a History museum display. Other similar sets are selling for $250 to $300 so if you don't mind polishing the chrome back to perfection you can save some moola on this set!
