The inside states that it is the First American Edition and was copyright 1953. Please note, the dust jacket shows wear, it has tears, yellowing and corner/edge wear etc.. The inside is yellowed, but I don't see any writing, tears or loose pages. The cover has corner wear etc.. It has a bit of an old book smell although it did come from a smoke free home. Overall, I would say that the book is in good used, vintage condition after a brief thumb through, but I may have overlooked something.
