The Crossfire HD 1400 offers three ranging modes: Line of Sight, Horizontal Component Distance, and Scan Mode. Line of sight displays the actual distance to the target while horizontal component distance displays the angle compensated distance. Scan mode on the other hand provides a continuous distance readings while panning across a landscape. Other features of the Crossfire HD 1400 include three target modes. Normal mode provides the targets range with the strongest range result, suitable for most situations. First mode provides the closest distance while ranging, an ideal feature for smaller targets. Last mode provides the farthest distance when ranging, perfect for acquiring the range on targets behind obstructions like bushes, trees, and rocks.
