Description: Vintage Wright & McGill Trailmaster fly rod. Older fiberglass rod marked with the 1938 patent mark in the metal handle. Also has the Wright McGill name and Denver stamped into the handle. Early model. We put it together. It fits tight and could definitely be fished. I didn’t attach a reel but the cap screws easily so I believe a reel would attach easily. Crazy amount of action in the rod! We tried it out and it has a lot of bend and I could feel the action all the way up my arm. The rod has been fished and isn’t in prefect condition but is in great shape for the age. We picked this up in an estate lot and thought about keeping it but we don’t fish this weight as often and it should be fished again.
