Description: This Moss Triton tent was made in the late 1990's, right here in Seattle.The Triton model (later changed to "Titan") was introduced in 1997, just three years before Moss merged with MSR and stopped selling Moss tents. Thanks! *** Setup is easy because the tent is fully sleeved and the three poles are identical.The rainfly has a hooped vestibule supported by a fourth pole (the gold one). Stakes are required when using the rainfly.The tent has three huge screened windows around the front (door and two triangles), plus one narrower triangular window at the back.With the window covers open, you get an awesome panoramic view. With the covers closed, total privacy.The main tent floor (an irregular hexagon) is 40 square feet and the hooped vestibule adds another 10.Weight is given as 8 to 8.75 Lbs depending on where you look. The attached 1997 catalog page includes additional details.This vintage tent is in good condition for its age.The waterproofing on the rainfly is a bit sticky in some areas, but otherwise intact. The small bag for the stakes is also sticky.No smoky or moldy smells. It does have some of the classic "old tent smell" from the waterproofing, but it's not overwhelming.The front and back screens each have one patched area. That work was done years ago by Rainy Pass Repair in Wallingford.Sale includes the tent, rainfly, all four poles, nine stakes, and three bags (the big one plus smaller bags for the stakes and poles).
