Iron Millers Falls 2" Wide x 7-3/8"Long Trade mark on cutter SOLID TOOL STEEL MILLERS FALLS TOOLS MADE IN USA Very good user condition. Chips to finish on handle including a long gash near the base, simply signs of light use and patina. On Bottom and cheeks of plane sole there is staining from storage in a box and use. It does not affect the use and adds to the aged appearance.. Iron appears sharp but you can adjust to your liking. Very nice plane. The box had the usual damage to edges and some slight separation. It was repaired using bookbinder's PVA glue and specially designed clamps. Once dried and set, special filler was used, sanded (1200 Grit) and the corners taped and then the surfaces painted. In order to get right color and texture, acrylic paint was used. The brush strokes add to the appearance and give the cover depth. The paper was in excellent condition. This is my final box restoration. This is simply for those who wish to have a good looking box. Because they are old, they continue to remain fragile and must be handled with care. The tissue paper was a chore and tedious. There is some bleed through and blurring, but it looks very cool. I've saved these boxes for years and have been perfecting the restoration process over the last two years with some painstaking lessons.
