Description: Older Jensen #65 Toy Steam Engine I cleaned and tuned this up a little but did not steam it. I see no reason it would not work though. Surface rust on many areas but everything rotates as it should. Flywheel, linkages, valve and piston all move smoothly. Governor rotates (but is decorative only and does not control the speed). Steam valve works and when closed you can feel some back pressure on the cylinder so the piston fit is good The safety valve stem does lift but I cannot get the whistle lever to turn. Might need more coaxing and some WD40. I did have all the fittings off the boiler but do not have new gaskets so used what was there. I did use an O-ring under the whistle as its gasket was missing. No burner tray but you can still get any spare part from Jensen in Pennsylvania very inexpensively It does remarkably still have its stack as these usually go missing. Not pretty but everything is smoothly moving as it should be. I did not steam it but see no reason it would not run. Water glass looks good, not all scaled up. Do note that most of these old engines do need new gaskets all around to work well and without too many leaks. Ships USPS Ground Advantage
