Description: Well, this is an interesting item. This I.W. Rice made paper mache figure is a mid-century effort to keep one’s vanity tidy and decorative. This item was made to cover a bottle of hairspray. While she sure could be used for that today, she’s got such a great look, she’d be great on display among your midcentury décor. The style of our girl looks very 16th century Anne Boleyn with her headpiece, dress and “dress” embellishment. What would Henry VIII have thought about that? The body of the item is textured and is a warm yellow with a rubbed look in brown to show off the texture. Her skin looks smooth and pale, as was fashion during the day. The bottom of the item is open to hide that unsightly aerosol can. There’s a wonderful, intact sticker on the inside that says, “I.W. Rice & Co Inc. An irice Import. Made in Japan.” See photo. The item measures 3” in diameter by approximately 12 1/2” tall. This item has small gray mark over one eye and another small gray mark on her chin. See photo.
