Description: Vintage FACIT TYPEWRITER Portable in Case Made in SWEDEN 1960s This was my Mother In-Law's typewriter, that she carried from Sweden, when she immigrated in 1960. She felt that it was so necessary because it has the Swedish alphabet, and she would be able to type letters home. It is in really good workable condition, and everything I could check seemed to work perfectly. I didn't put a piece of paper in it, so I assume the ribbon is pretty dried out and would need to be re-inked or replaced. It features the unique Swedish alphabet that you can see in picture number 3. The case has some issues like the scuffs and dings. My Mother In-Laws name and address is written on the bottom, and the lock tumblers have been pulled out. The latch still seems to work though. It's a very unique, classic, high quality, well made piece. There was a flat metal piece that was laying in the bottom of the case. I could not identify what it would be used for, but I left it where I found it. Thank you for looking!
