Description: Vintage China Tea Cup & Saucer Set Occupied Japan Blue Gold This china teacup and saucer made in occupied Japan is absolutely gorgeous. I have not been able to find any like this one. Please see pics for the pattern on the items. Inside the cup near the rim is a gold stripe going around the cup. The rim is also gold. Between the gold stripes the color is cream and the rest of the inside is white. On the outside of the cup at the top is blue with a gold oval spiral pattern. Under the blue is a cream color with gold designs and floral pattern. The bottom of the cup is white with a gold rim around the bottom. The handle is cream and gold. Measures approx. 2 5/8 top diameter x 3 3/8 from handle to rim x 2.25” tall. The matching saucer has a gold rim. Under that is a blue with gold spiral oval pattern. The color under the blue is cream and the center is white. The gold pattern on the saucer is the same as the cup. Measures approx. 5” in diameter. I didn’t clean this item for fear of ruining it. There are some spots where some of the gold has rubbed off. Also the cup above the handle on the rim is a tiny nick (a V-shaped cut usually on an edge or a surface). I don’t see any grazing, cracks, or breaks. please see pictures for more detail and condition please ask questions before purchasing
