Vintage 84NU Turkish Fine Enamel & .875 Silver Ottoman Necklace Beautiful! VGC

Description: Description: Vintage Traditional Ottoman Style Turkish Enamel over .875 Silver (described as 900 Silver). According to my research made beginning around 1960's by Turkish Company 84NU, in a Traditional Turkish/Caucasian Enamel Style that demonstrates excellent detail, and honors timeless elements such as floral motif, and excellent handcrafted enamel and silverwork. 29 enamel silver sections are held together by what is apparently leather- a traditional method, and the clasp is a silver pull pin, also traditional. Cobalt blue, turquoise light blue, red and green enamel. Silver plant design with leaves and floral motif between sections. All elements work well, and this piece is stunning! note: the 84 mark has been historically associated with Russian Silver marks and this has caused confusion. In the Russian Standardized System 84 means 84 Zolotniki 84/96 or 875/1000 pure silver or .875. We have read that the silver may have been sourced in Russia, contributing to the name, or just a Regional marking system. The Company 84NU is a Turkish Company. SIZE: ~18" around (end to end), and is a CollarStyle. The segments vary slightly in size as these are handmade, the largest towards the front measure ~12.38mm across top X ~16.11mm length top to bottom but 19.39mm counting decorative at bottom, X ~15.54mm base width (one section). CONDITION: Very Good Used Vintage Condition, very Wearable, Enamel looks very good. There is some greenish discoloration near the clasp which I attribute to solder oxidation used on clasp.
