Description: This is a gorgeous hat from the famous milliner, Mr. John of New York & Paris. The base is made of fine straw with layers of netting making up the brim and finished off with another 1" of sealed woven straw. A large lace applique decorated with faux pearls and crystals makes this hat a real statement piece. Some of the stitching has come loose between layers of the netting put can be resewn as the material itself appears to be in fine condition. Also, there are bits of glue in the same area, which suggests there was another applique. Overall, the hat itself appears to be in very nice condition given the age. I only communicate via eBay.
