Description: Note: I was notified by an Ebayer that she thought this dress looked like a design by Claire McCardell. Without a Label I can't authenticate it as such. I was told she thought it was more early 50's. Exceptional Condition, No stains, damage or odors. I have hand washed this and pressed it. I also replaced the original ugly buttons that were chipped with pink vintage buttons I purchased here on eBay. The fabric is a beautiful Cotton fabric, it presses and steamed well. Has 2 hidden Side pockets, inverted bodice pleats and a attached tie at the neck and a hidden snap behind the first button, dolman 3/4 sleeves with elbow darting. The waist has a hidden metal hook and eye and the skirt has box Pleating. The construction of this dress was definitely done by a professional, or it's just missing it's label, pinked seams and the hem is 4.5" Measurements Shoulders up to 15" Bust 17.5" across May go a little larger with pleating Waist 12.5" across no stretch Hips Free Length 43" Sleeve length from neck 22.5" The last photo shows you how we measure our garments flat not a person.
