It has a large rose with green leaves on one side and a smaller rose on the other side. The mug is in mint condition as there are no chips, cracks, or crazing. It really looks like it has never been used! The mug is marked with Franciscan's Hand Decorated-Oven Safe backstamp which dates from 1953-1958. Desert Rose was the second and most popular pattern created by the Franciscan company in 1941. This very popular pattern sports pink wild roses, light brown thorny branches, and green leaves. This mug will make a wonderful addition to your Franciscan Desert Rose collection.
