Description: This item is a beautiful chair, that appears to be, by the research I've done on its design, a late 1800s to early 1900s piece. This could be a rare child's chair based on its size. It could also have had its legs cut, but it doesn't appear to have been. I can find no markings on the chair, but maybe I just don't know where to look. I don't know what the wood is but is in wonderful shape. The top of the seat portion looks like it could use a reapolstering. The legs arms and back are dark colored wood with striking details.
