Description: Six images of this unique pair of books are shown below. The first book, show in the first three images below, is: Dame Wiggins of Lee and Her Seven Wonderful Cats, Published in London by A. K. Newman & Co., 1824. This 200-year-old, softcover book, with "eighteen coloured engravings", measures 6 3/4" x 4" and is unpaginated, approximately 18 pages, each of which is printed on one side only. It is in Good condition only with wear to the covers, with a 1" tape repair and a gift inscription to the first blank page, with a 1/2" tape repair to the blank side of the final page, and with some overall handling and wear.....The second book, with the same title, shown in images #4, #5, and #6 below, is an 1885 first edition Published by George Allen. In this book, John Ruskin has added four verses to the poem, Kate Greenaway provided a line drawing to accompany each of those four verses (e.g., please see image #5 below), and the original color illustrations are repeated as line drawings. This hardcover book measures 7 1/2" x 4 3/4" and is 20 pages. It is in Very Good condition with a bookplate on the front endpaper, indications that a different bookplate has been removed from the front free endpaper, and with some gentle overall wear.
