Description: Finally got around to fixing my Letteras! I love these machines, and have two of each (and two of those are italic or script!). Yet, they were simply unusable on the original hard feet, the light machines just slide around during typing. There was much more to this than I expected. Firstly, the 22 and 32 have different feet. The 22 feet look like squashed washers, but in fact are more complicated cone shapes that screw on. The 32 feet looked great--only hard--and have a complex cavity that grabs onto the pronged posts to stay in place, plus the cavity in the bottom for looks and grip. My machines REALLY grip the table now, I will probably actually use them now, I had forgotten how crisply they type despite the size. This listing is for one set of 4 3D printed replacement typewriter feet for Olivetti Lettera typewriters, made in Italy or Spain between 1952 and 1964 (22) and 1964 through late 1970's (32). These feet were made to replace the rock-hard feet on my 4 machines. I designed these to be nearly an identical replacement in outside appearance, but with the advantages of modern 3D printing technology we can engineer materials that were previously impossible. I printed with NinjaFlex TPU polymer (https://ninjatek.com/ninjaflex/), which is very strong in ordinary usage (but a knife or scissors will cut it, just like rubber!), flexible, and pretty gripping on most surfaces. Some people may prefer the original dull rubber look (and those are also perhaps being made and sold), but I actually think these are a superior look to rubber, and the glossy finish better accents the machine. I also think these will last far longer than natural rubber without compressing or falling apart. Notes: These are very easy to replace. You should need only a small screwdriver for the 22 feet. You may need a large screwdriver to pry off the old 32 feet, and simply push/rock them in from the outside without any disassembly. These are intricately designed to install easily, fit perfectly, not fall out, not interfere with the internal tight workings, look great from the outside, and grip the table so you can just relax and enjoy typing on this amazing ultraportable typewriter. I designed these for my own typewriter as shown, and this is an experiment to see if it's worth my time to make some more for the community. Compatibility Info: Your responsibility, please don't order unless you checked! As far as I can tell, this should fit all Olivetti Lettera 22/32 typewriters, you need nothing more on the 32, but you do need the original screws on the 22. This auction is only for 4 replacement feet, any other items shown (like the typewriter and screws) are not included! Please read full description and examine photos to be sure you know what you are ordering! (sorry, I've been burned by no-read one-click buyers) PS: Ebay's volume discount display is a bit confusing, each purchase is a SET OF FOUR feet, so picking "1" is one set of 4; "2" is 2 sets of 4 (8), etc. You get one set only, everything else pictured such as typewriter and hardware is NOT INCLUDED. Contact me for mixed combined discounts if needed.
