As the jacket blurb, quoting a review by The New York Times, states this work, “is a notable beginning an exploration shifting an assessment from the point of view of our historical situation have a great tradition from which we can draw wisdom. Pelicans work is a contribution of the renewal of Christianity at all it’s dimensions.” How about the set of books rhymes one through five back in seminary in the 80s. At the time I was studying patristics and systematic theology. I found volume one to be the more interesting of them all, as the other volumes take us up to the present day. There is no damage to the cover or the binding of the book, though of course it does show signs of having been read. In the first 150 pages you will see that I have underlined important passages (see attached photos). None of the corners of the pages have been turned down. So … either you can consider the book as is, in acceptable condition according to eBay, or you might think of it as being in good condition with the added value of a professional showing you where the good parts are. Or not… If you’re interested in the whole set of five books, they are available for $40 (plus postage) — you know, if still listed on eBay as unsold. I’m a retired pastor/teacher/professor who is looking for a good home for many of the books on his shelf.
