Overnight Lauren went from archery champ to inmate when she is sentenced to a girls' reform camp. Realizing the "camp" is a corrupt and twisted prison, Lauren and another prisoner escape with the warden hot on their trail. It wasn't a bad movie but I felt like there were many opportunities to go deeper into this story... character development, stronger plot, commentary on the juvenile detention system. So much it could have done with such a heavy and important topic to illuminate the situation for us. It didn't. That said, lots of great action scenes and it was nice to see some powerful young women characters.I love watching Jeanine Mason, whom I have followed since her dancing days on So You Think You Can Dance. I've enjoyed watching her acting career build up and this proved to me her versatility. I just hope in time she'll get better and bigger roles. Although, right now she's a lead actress in Roswell, New Mexico, so that's not a bad gig. And Bailey Noble isn't so bad either!!Both actresses did a phenomenal job with what they were given.
