Description: This is a beautiful, professionally colorized pictorial map of Yellowstone National Park printed onto a canvas like surface with a 3/16" foam core. The map was originally black and white and created in 1931 by Jo Mora, one of the most preeminent map makers in the U.S. in the early to mid 20th century. He was especially known for adding various whimsical touches to his maps and this map is no different. Numerous vibrantly colored, playful illustrations show the various thermal features, service and tourist buildings, campgrounds, activities, landmarks, roads, trails, railroads, wildlife and more. In addition, the topography of the park including the canyons and mountainous regions have been carefully drawn into perspective. The map, or "carte" as Jo Mora called his maps, has been dedicated to Horace M. Albright, Director of the U.S. National Park and former superintendent of Yellowstone. This would look stunning in virtually any room in a home or office environment. Dimensions are 16" x 20". The map will be shipped flat in a box measuring 26" x 36" x 2" and weighing four pounds. Postage rates are calculated automatically based on your Zip Code as well as the measurements and weight of the box. New USPS shipping rates went into effect on April 3rd, 2022.
