It is the 37 Snowy Egret coil issue Scott numbers 3829 and 3829A. Both coil pairs have self-adhesive gum and are part of the American Wildlife issue. Carl T. Herrman designed the stamps based upon artwork by Nancy Stahl. The stamps feature a stylized side profile of the marine bird. Thirty Seven cents paid the USPS First Class 1 oz domestic letter rate from June 30, 2002 into Jan. 8, 2006.The 2004 variety has USPS microprinting shown magnified at the location of the red arrow. All pairs have been carefully cut from 100 rolls and remain on original backing paper.
