Description: Up for sale is this 12”x15” eight lug Slingerland “Super-Tension” wooden shell parade snare drum, c. early-to-mid1970s. Features: · Red Satin Flame finish· “Football” black and silver Niles badge, with serial number 394002· “Zoomatic” snare strainer· “Rim Shot” chrome over brass counter hoops top and bottom· 8 “Super-Tension” lugs· Tone control· 16 wire snares· 3-ply maple/poplar/mahogany shell with maple reinforcing rings This drum is in excellent condition, and appears all original, except for the batter head. The chrome hardware looks good overall, including the Super-Tension lugs, Zoomatic snare strainer, butt plate, tone control, and Rim Shot chrome over brass counter hoops. The interior of the shell is very clean and includes maple reinforcing rings. The original “Football” black and silver Niles badge with a serial number rounds out the features. The red satin flame wrap is also in excellent condition with no blemishes or issues. All in all, an exceptional, deep-sounding snare. Note: There are two very small holes drilled in the shell (to accommodate a Yamaha tom mount [not included]) (see photos). Ships within the contiguous U.S. only.
