Description: Shopsmith Mark V headstock assembly. This is in excellent shape and was extremely well cared for with only one owner since new. The power belt was recently replaced due to belt set (connects to the motor) with a Pirelli brand belt that is slightly too wide and a little too long so when you get above speed U the belt chatters and you can't really go slower than speed D. I have seen this on other units using an off brand belt. The belt can be replaced in only a couple of minutes but I do not have one or I would do it myself. The entire unit turns true and works perfectly and had the two bearing quill upgrade done a couple of years ago. All shafts are excellent and the unit is powered by a 1-1/8 HP motor.
