Corners, joints, and spine caps are rubbed. A few stains to cloth. Edge of text block is age-toned. Top edge is painted blue. Boards remain sound, spine is straight, hinges and joints taut, and binding is firm. Interior is clean, though pages are toned throughout, most pronounced at first and last pages. Blue ink stamp and erased pencil marks to corner of front free endpaper. Otherwise, no major markings, tears, stains, foxing, or wrinkles. First edition, 1917.
