Description: Here is a one-of-kind ceramic bowl/plaque from Salt Marsh Pottery* coming from a large collection I found at an estate. It has a light grey mottled background with different flowers and leaves impressed into the clay. It is impressed with the Salt Marsh Pottery mark along with “Wintergreen”. It is a horizontal oval measuring 4 1/2” wide and 1 1/4” deep. It has two holes on the back with a cord to hang on a wall. It is in excellent condition and designed for decorative use only. It is perfect for a garden room, garden shed or 'she shed'. *Salt Marsh Pottery was founded by Betsy and JP Powel in Dartmouth, Massachusetts in 1968. 'We put a flower on a smooth beach stone, roll out clay like pie crust and slap it down over the stone and flower. The rock gives the clay shape and texture; the flower leaves its perfect impression. When the dish dries, we paint the impression, then fire it for seven hours. When it cools we slosh it with a background color, glaze it, and fire again.'
