Description: Please have a look at this large bronze medal. This antique piece dates from the early 20th century circa 1909. It was designed by the French sculptor and medallist Paul Niclausse. He lived from 1879 to 1958. This piece is signed by the artist. Medal sports beautiful detail and superb color. What a beauty this rare medal is! This bronze piece is in lovely Almost Uncirculated condition. Medal is very attractive with great detail, color and heft. It displays above average surfaces and choice luster. Very light and original obverse toning is noted. Medal has a small bend on its edge. This is shown in Picture 8. These issues were often affixed to small slabs of polished marble. Perhaps our example was removed from its original base. This theory would help to explain the small edge flaw. Make no mistake, this is a beautiful and popular medal! This piece measures approximately 77mm by 49mm. It weighs 47 grams. Please view pictures to determine grade and attribution for yourself. The medal pictured is the exact item that you will receive.
