Description: Nippon Hand Painted Pink Roses Cream & Gold Gilt Cake Plate Circa 1891-1921 Antique Japanese porcelain cake plate. Nicely decorated with gold gilding along the very edge, followed by a cream band, with another line of gold gilding. With bunches of hand painted pink roses along the edge, with the green stems with thorns extending to another band of gold gilding. Marked on the bottom with a blue Hand Painted Nippon rising sun mark. This mark was used between 1891 and 1921. Has some wear to the gold gilding, but otherwise excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 9 5/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
