Description: MLB Showdown is an out-of-print collectible card game made by Wizards of the Coast that ran from April 2000 to 2005. The game was introduced to the public in 2000, featuring Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones on the product cover. The item(s) for sale have never been opened and are still factory sealed. I opened one to take pictures and scans but I am not selling that one. 2000 was the inaugural season of these collectable cards. In this set are the first edition printing of Greg Maddux and David Cone holofoils, with the 1st edition marking. All other cards may be unlimited (without the first edition markings), since that is what I saw on the one I opened. There may be other first editions in the random cards, but I won't guarantee it. it is hard to find detailed information on these. There are 462 cards in the base set. Since, besides Maddux and Cone, all other cards are random; these sets can be a good way to build your collection.
