Description: THIS IS A VICTORIAN MEISSEN FIGURINE MADE AROUND 1890 OF CUPID WITH HIS FOOT CAUGHT IN A TRAP STANDING OVER A BED OF FLOWERS ON A GILDED ROUND BASE. HE IS HOLDING A BOUQUET OF FLOWERS IN HIS LEFT HAND. IT LOOKS LIKE THE LITTLE FINGERS ON HIS RIGHT HAND MIGHT HAVE BEEN REPAIRED AND ON HIS LEFT HAND IT LOOKS LIKE THE FLOWER BOUQUET THAT HE'S HOLDING WAS GLUED BACK TO HIS HAND AND YOU CAN SEE PART OF THE GLUE THAT TURNED YELLOW FROM BEING FIXED SO LONG AGO. WE JUST WANTED TO MENTION THIS FOR ACCURACY BUT THE REST OF IT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS OR HAIRLINES. THE GOLD IS PERFECT. HE IS 7 1/2" TALL BY 3 3/4" AT THE BASE. THE BOTTOM IS INCISED "L.120" AND PAINTED "52" ALONG WITH THE BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK IN UNDERGLAZE. OUR SHIPPING QUOTES INCLUDE INSURANCE. PLEASE DISREGARD THE WHITE SPOTS AND FLASHES FROM OUR OVERHEAD LIGHTING. THANKS! ANTIQUES ON THE AVENUE, WINTER PARK, FLORIDA.
