Description: Louisville & Nashville (L&N) Railroad Tickets including Jacket/Envelope with round trip itinerary from Decatur AL to Miami FL and back on the South Wind train. The South Wind began operations in 1940 and remained in service through the creation of Amtrak in 1971. Two passenger tickets date stamped October 21, 1968 on the back, probably the date they were purchased. The tickets are also punched, one indicating the departure date of October 23, 1968 from Decatur AL to Miami FL and the other indicating the return on October 29th. Both ways were overnight. The envelope has typed entries with the same travel dates. All are in Excellent condition. Really cool piece of railroad memorabilia. $57.55 round trip including $4 for seat selection!!
