Currently in circulation is a Federal Reserve Note that by its lettering, numbering and date may be said to memorialize the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Persons who own the bills refer to them as "Kennedy dollars." Here's how to distinguish the note from the $1 bills. At the left of George Washington's portrait on the face of the note the capital letter K is imprinted in the seal of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Tx. Collectors point out the K stands for Kennedy and Dallas the city in which he was assassinated. The figure 11 appears four times twice to the left of Washington's portrait and twice near the right corners of the note. The note was of a series issued in 1963. The single figure 11 is the number of the monthof November-in which the assassination occurred. Two 11's added together indicate the day of the assassination-Nov. 22. The four 11s added indicate the late presidents age, 44, at the time of his death. The date of issue, 1963 was the year of his death.
