The center triangle has a charge indicator LED light to let you know when it is charging (red) or complete (blue). When unplugged, the light remains off. Included with the grip is a 1m (3ft) USB-A to USB-C charge cable in the retail box. This is a Japanese domestic product. I found this on a trip to Japan and I liked it so much I brought home some extra to share. I never seen this grip anywhere else in the world.
