The aperture blades are smooth, with no oil nor fungus. I'm throwing in two filters as well. A variable ND as well as a UV filter with a glow mist coating, which looks very dreamy. This things is a bokeh BEAST. Especially with dappled lights behind a subject at close focus. It is TACK sharp in its focus-zone. It I've loved this lens, but need the money.
