Good but Not Perfect 1980s Wilesco D12 Live Steam Engine

Description: LIVING ESTATE SALE (Details at the end of description) SM/AE For your consideration is a Wilesco D12 Live Steam Engine made in Germany in the 1980s. This Live Steam Engine is in good but not perfect condition.It has been air tested (video) and should not give much trouble to operate on steam. Sometimes, an older gasket has dried up, needing replacement. Hopefully, that won't be the case. It is complete, with the exception of the original box that is missing.All the elements are Wilesco original.The base has been repainted (good job).The boiler section has been brushed.The engine section has not been repainted and has a bit of rust on the base (not much - photos). The main thing to report is that the whistle has been soldered to the boiler. It works well (video) but cannot be removed in the present configuration. This is a good running engine that is mechanically sound. You will need some solid fuel pellets (anywhere camping products are sold) and using solely distilled water is strongly recommended. The D12 Single Cylinder was discontinued a while back. That was 65 years ago. I have been collecting them for 25 years and I am now 74. None of my descendants is interested in the collection, so I decided that it was time to liquidate.
