Description: LIVING ESTATE SALE (Details at the end of description) MM/AI For your consideration is a Wilesco D16 made in Germany in the 1960s. The vintage engine (around 60 years old) is in good condition for its age.It needs a thorough cleaning, that's for sure.It has been air tested (video) and should not give much trouble to operate on steam. It is complete except for : - the original box that is missing, - The little red condensation tray (photo).The little weight for the whistle/pressure relief valve is not original but it is a close replica of the original. Mostly, it needs a thorough cleaning.The water level window suffered from a calcium deposit contained in tap water. It usually cleans up pretty well by boiling a mixture of (distilled) water and vinegar. Adding CLR also helps. A couple of washings would make it much clearer.There is a bit of surface rust in a few spots. Not much and nothing serious. (Photos)This is a great and powerful engine that can be brought back to a superb condition with a bit of TLC. You will need some solid fuel pellets (anywhere camping supplies are sold) and distilled water is highly recommended. This model is still in production, with some modifications.
