Description: GEORGETOWN COUNTY COURTHOUSE POSTCARD South Carolina Robert Mills Architect The architect who built the Georgetown County Courthouse in 1824, at 129 Screven street, was Robert Mills. The Courtroom is on the 2nd floor and the ground floor consists of thick, vault like walls because Mills believed that record storerooms should be fireproof. Mills is also the architect for the Washington Monument. This vintage postcard is estimated to be from the 1950's to early 1960's based on the beautiful cars parked outside the courthouse. This is a nice vintage postcard. Please view pictures carefully, checking corners, sides, front and back and message if you have any questions.
