Description: Inspired by the Arabian horse, the Horse Collection boldly embodies the animal's most noble attributes.I personally made this piece to honor the beauty and grace of the Arabian horse. My horses are usually the models for my wood figurines. The true joy of woodworking, for me, is the process of creating a piece. It's very relaxing for me and gives me a feeling of accomplishment.My favorite types of wood are exotic hardwoods; I prefer to use natural colored wood and clear finishes rather than paint her pieces.I created this sculpture from a block of exotic wood, Bloodwood, a very dense, hard, dark red, Brazilian wood with an attractive grain. After careful sanding, a light coat of Danish oil was applied to enhance the wood's beauty.The horse sits on a matching base finished off with a very beautiful Roman Ogee edge.The piece measures approx. 10 inches in length, 8.25 inches in height and the wood is cut to i1 inch thickness. A heavy and solid piece.This beautiful work will make a wonderful addition to any collection and to any decor and will make a unique gift to a horse enthusiast!An original creation by Gray Wolf Collections.The Wood: Bloodwood is not classified as Endangered within its natural habitat in Brazil.
