Description: Elgin 344 Model 2 12 Size 14K Yellow Gold Full Hunter Pocket Watch ca. 1918. This beautiful Elgin grade 344, model 2, class 113, 12 size, full hunter pocket watch has a solid 14k yellow gold case measuring approximately 46.5mm in diameter x 2 1/2 inches long including bow. The case is completely engraved with a guilloche finish and has two plaques, one of which is engraved with a monogram that appears to be "LSV". This case is in excellent antique condition, as pictured. The front, back and dust cover hinges all open and closes properly, but the case back will not snap shut completely. Priced accordingly. The inside case is stamped "4549289". The beautiful white enamel dial has a blue tint in the center and gilt detailing throughout. The dial has black Roman numerals, gold fancy hands, a single sunk seconds register at six o'clock and is marked "Elgin". The dial is in great condition with no hairlines or chipping. The crystal is in great condition. The inside back cover is stamped "Keystone - 14K - 4549289". The dust cover is engraved with what appears to read "Souvenir from Parents - Birthday - 1908 1928". The inside dust cover is stamped "Warranted 14K US. Assay - 4549289". The nickel movement is stamped "Elgin Nat'l Watch Co. - U.S.A. - 20300209 - 17 Jewels - Double Roller". It appears this movement has both ruby and sapphire jewels. All screws and jewels appear to be in great condition. Stem wind and set. This watch is running.
