Description: Set of the entire (7 coins) Privateer Series silver rounds: Original Ship (Storm), Siren, Captain, Kraken, Plank, White Whale, & Davy Jones Locker. Each of these 2 oz ultra high relief silver rounds will come in an Airtite capsule. A total of 14oz of .999 Silver Bullion. The series started in 2017. #FIRST COIN -- "SHIP IN THE STORM" This 2 oz silver round features the stern of a pirate ship, the ship drifting through rough seawaters. High waves roar across the design as the ship’s sails flutter in the wind. The moon peaks out from the clouds on the right of the image. #SECOND COIN -- "THE SIREN" On this 2 oz Siren High Relief Silver Round is the image of a beautiful siren upon a rock in the foreground, with a hapless ship full of sailors upon the high seas turning toward her beautiful sounds. The rolling waves and the ominous clouds in the background hint at the impending doom facing the sailors. #THIRD COIN -- "THE CAPTAIN" The side of this round shows a rugged pirate known as The Captain. He is standing on a deserted island. He has a cutlass and treasure. In the open chest as his feet, there will be all kinds of treasure that he has discovered throughout his journeys. The Captain hopes to recover the treasure himself at a later date. #FOURTH COIN -- "THE KRACKEN” The kraken is a giant legendary sea monster that inhabited the northern Atlantic Ocean. “Kraken” is a variant of the Norwegian word “krake”, which describes an unhealthy or twisted animal. The kraken features prominently in nautical lore, and has featured prominently in popular works of fiction, such as Lord Tennyson’s sonnet “The Kraken”, Herman Melville’s “Moby Dick”, and Jules Vern’s “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea”. #FIFTH COIN -- "WALK THE PLANK" This 2 oz silver round features The Captain condemning a mutineer to Davey Jones’s locker. This shirtless and blindfolded creton has been walked to the edge of the plank at the end of The Captain’s gun and sword. This round also features a stormy sky and battle-marred pirate ship. #SIXTH COIN -- "MOBY DICK - THE WHALE” This coin features a privateer’s ship, a commonly used element in this series, rocking in the ocean as a large white whale crests the water’s surface. Harpoons are sticking out of the whale’s body, showing us that the hunted as become the hunter. The flag on the stern of the ship contains elements that match the series’ shared reverse. #SEVENTH coin — “ DAVY JONES LOCKER” This round features Davy Jones’ locker, one of the most famous idioms of the pirate lifestyle. It represents the ocean floor and is commonly used as a euphemism for shipwrecks and people are soon to be (or already have been) drowned. The design depicts the bottom of the sea, which contains a shipwreck, human skeleton, and a treasure chest. Sharks swim above the scene.
