The essay by Dr. Egon Friedell. The first illustration shown is a Greek gold sheet mask. Franz Liszt is on the cover that is a bit beat up, and the back that has stains as shown. The cloth spine could be better- although repaired with PH Neutral PVA archival adhesive. The rear free endpaper and the page before (advertisement) were loose and been stabilized with pH neutral LINECO transparent Mending Tissue. Former collection of Jon Corbino, N.A.
