Description: This exquisite spill holder or footed tumbler is a rare find from the circa 1850's-1860's. Its rare deep teal color and paneled design make it a unique addition to any Victorian style collection. The molded paneled glass form adds a touch of elegance which epitomized the Victorian period. This item is an original and is possibly European in origin. It measures 4-3/4" in height and is perfect for any collector of mid 19th century colored glass. It is in beautiful estate condition with NO cracks, NO repairs and NO restorations. It shows trapped air bubbles, common during the period of production. The underside foot base shows a sliver type chip, with 2 foot base points showing a bruise chip. There is some roughness on one of the three mold lines. The interior of the rim shows 3 very tiny, round, open bruises which were trapped air bubbles. The rim has NOT been ground and shows authentic, age appropriate wear. The deep teal color shows shades of green and blue depending on light, but leans more towards green. The underside of the foot shows a large polished pontil with the foot showing authentic wear.
