The transformer features two discrete primary windings, with a shared B+ connection. The transformer has two 8 ohm secondary windings, which could be used to drive two 8 ohm speakers, independently, or they can be wired in series for a perfect 16 ohm match, or in parallel for a perfect 4 ohm match. We find that the same property of our transformers that allows them to accept such a wide range of power tubes and still sound great, also allows mismatching of the speaker to the secondary with very musical results.
