The overall size is just over 17" across, 9.5" deep and 3" tall. PLEASE NOTE that the lid is broken and there isn't enough of the tax stamps to get a date. I just picked up a small collection of vintage/antique cigar boxes from a local central Pennsylvania estate auction where a museum had liquidated some of its assets to make room for new inventory.
