Description: Offered here is a very scarce and collectible ANTIQUE - PATENTED THREE-FOLD YARD STICK RULER MARKED AND MANUFACTURED BY THE LUFKIN RULE COMPANY. This very fine folding yard stick ruler is marked NUMBER 11 and it has the patent date of "5-14-12" stamped on the middle leg. On one side of the yard stick - ruler is ADVERTISING which reads: "LUFKIN, MACHINIST TOOLS, TAPES and RULES". On this side of the ruler the yard is divided into sections (1/16, 1/8, 1/4, etc). On the opposite side the the ruler divided as normal, from zero to 36 with 1/8 inch divisions. The folding joints are in excellent condition and the ruler has no damage, cracks or splits.
