Description: ANTIQUE J B HIRSCH PAIR ART DECO HTF CROW BOOKENDS METAL BAKELITE CELLULOID*WOW! This is a unique pair of antique or vintage Art Deco 1930’s J.B. Hirsch Crow or Raven Bookends. The bookends are about 6 1/4” tall, about 4” at the longest point and about 3 1/2” wide. The crows appear to be metal, with a celluloid beak on a black two Step Bakelite base. The beaks are a little loose from over the years. One bookend appears to have some wear on by one bottom side of the crow as shown in the pictures. The same crow has a few spots of paint loss. The bases have a couple of small nicks on the edges, and one base has a chip on the back corner of the top step that can be seen in the pictures. The pair appears to have had felt bottoms, but one is missing and the other one is coming off, as shown in the pictures. This pair of bookends were purchased from an estate with many other treasures. The pair could use a good cleaning from shelf dust over the years. This amazing pair of antique or vintage HTF J.B. Hirsch Crow Bookends appear to be in good used antique or vintage condition, except as noted and are offered as is.
