Description: Antique c1828 Georgian Leather Album Handwritten Poetry Verse 2 Watercolours etc Click image to enlarge Description An antique Georgian album with gilt tooled leather covers, the spine titled 'Album', and with it's original 'Dobbs & Compy, Ornamental Stationers to His Majesty, 13 Soho Square' (London) label : the album has approx 60 gilt edged leaves (some pink, mauve, etc) with around 20 leaves containing mainly transcribed poetry in manuscript dated between 1828 and 1835 along with 2 small fine watercolour paintings and 2 pencil sketches, the remaining leaves vacant Size : Approx 8 1/4" x 6 3/8" Condition : Good used antique condition, the pages generally clean with a few spots of foxing throughout, and a pencil signature to ffep. The leather boards have expected wear with surface marks / rubbing, and bumping to corners / spine ends with a small split to the top left han corner and first page is half detached (see last 2 photos) - please see all 24 photos below (message me if you require additional photos / info, etc).
