Includes newspaper ephemera and notes regarding the Mormon church and the theory that The Mormon Golden Bible was plagiarized from writings of an 1812 unpublished fictional writing by Reverend Solomon Spalding. Also includes a handwritten family history of the Spalding Family tree and commentary as it pertains to Samuel F.B. Morse, inventor of Morse Code. Fun Fact, Samuel F.B. Morse offered the invention to the Republic of Texas for free. The Republic declined thinking it too odd and crazy. Includes Letter to the decedents of Ezra Spalding urging purchase of the volume. Owner (H.A. Morse) owner paste down in front. By and large, pages are clear and clean. Gilt page edges look quite nice when volume is closed. Seller Lot #23069.
