Description: HENRI DE TOULOUSE-LAUTREC (1864–1901) French painter, printmaker, and illustrator known for his distinctive artistic style, particularly in capturing the nightlife of late 19th-century Paris. He was part of the Post-Impressionist movement and played a significant role in the development of modern art. His work often depicted the bohemian and cabaret scenes of Paris, with a focus on the Moulin Rouge and Montmartre district. He had a keen interest in portraying the lives of dancers, singers, and other performers. His use of bold colors, innovative compositions, and emphasis on characterizing individuals made his art stand out. Beyond painting, he was a skilled lithographer, creating iconic posters that are celebrated for their artistic and commercial success. The reproductions have been executed on the presses of Danesi via Margutta, under the direction of master printer, Riccardo Baldini; the text was composed by hand and printed on the presses of ‘Novissima’ Roma; the model of the cover has been established by the painter, Renzo Vespignani.
