Description: 6 SEX-LINKED Chocolate/Black Mottled Silkie Hatching Eggs- NPIP certified for PT We are NPIP certified for PT, but not for AI because of the regulations where I live. * Please do not purchase if you live in the following states as I cannot ship to you: AL, FL,GA, NJ, NY, VA, WV, AK or HI ****Know at hatch whether your chicks are boys or girls!! **** This listing is for 6 eggs from my Sex-Linked Chocolate Mottled satin frizzled rooster and his 3 black mottled silkie feathered split hens, one of which is a bearded naked neck with an amazing crest. *Chicks will hatch with all black or black mottled being boys, and all chocolate or chocolate mottled being girls. About 50% could also be frizzled, satin, or both, and about 1 out of 6 will be a naked neck. We are an NPIP/PT clean farm, but not AI certified if that’s important to you. My birds are happy, healthy, get good quality feed and live in enclosed chicken tractors on grass (because of the hawks and predators in our area). We do breed to the SOP (Standard of Perfection), we do show our birds, and we are members of the American Poultry Club. You may notice that the rooster in the picture has a pink comb instead of a dark comb. That's the effect of the mottled gene, /mo/. Wherever there would be a white spot, the skin will be pink, and wherever there would be a black spot, it is black. You can see it be black and white/pink across toes, beaks, and combs, similar to how a dog would have a white spot go across a black dog and make the eye turn from black/brown to light blue. It's not a fault, it's genetics. If you breed a mottled bird to a non-mottled bird (mottling is recessive and takes two copies), the resulting mottled split (only one copy of the mo gene) will have dark skin again. I love the genetics of all this, so if you have any questions, you can message me. Shipping is done through the USPS and is packaged carefully for you. I send extras just in case something happens to one of the eggs in transit, but I can’t control the post office so please know that I will ship the freshest eggs and the rest is up to you. There are so many variables out of my control that I don’t accept refunds but may work with you if there is a problem in transit. Shipping may be combined if multiple orders are placed. There may also be a waiting list, and I will work with you to ensure that you get the freshest eggs and best outcome. Eggs are individually wrapped in bubble wrap, cushioned with Styrofoam egg cartons and packing. Please contact me if you have questions about additional information for shipping. *If you would like more than 6 eggs, please contact me for availability and pricing. Thanks for looking, and Happy Hatching from Hahnchen Farms! 🐣
